New
Scenario Planning
Review and publish your sandboxes back into the live Projectal system. This allows you to test various scenarios in a private workspace, and then preview and merge the updates directly into your live environment.
Permissions & Access Policies
New "Only Apply Changes" checkbox when saving an access policy so that affected users can retain their individual permission settings.
New permissions added under Administration section to hide and show the Staff Planner and Resource Planner. New permission added under Sandbox section to control who can publish sandboxes.
Staff Planner & Resource Planner
New "Combine groupings with the same name" checkbox in the Settings screen to merge groupings that share the same name. For example, if you have an Animation department in multiple locations, staff from all those departments will be grouped together.
Staff and Resource planner now shows the correct currencies when showing cost metrics for staff, resources, departments, projects and locations.
Improved
Week Numbering
View week numbers in Staff Planner, Resource Planner, Staff usage and Gantt screens. View week numbers based on calendar weeks or project weeks.
Projects screen
The Projects screen toolbar has been improved to be more consistent with other screens in Projectal.
Dashboards
The Tasks Alerts widget now shows warnings when tasks are scheduled to start before the project start date or scheduled to finish after the project finish date.
Charts
Improvements to various chart types and chart settings including a new setting to optionally display the chart title. Charts are now better fitted onscreen and within dashboard widgets.
Connectors
All connectors have been improved to take advantage of the new features and new data points. Our growing library of connectors includes support for popular tools such as Shotgrid, Workday, BambooHR, ftrack, HiBob, Google Calendar, Monday, PeopleHR, Kitsu and many more.
